2001: A Space Travesty - 2000

Leslie Nielsen once again plays a bumbling detective in the vein of the'Naked Gun' movies, but this time as Marshall Richard'Dick' Dix. When strange reports are received through official channels saying that the President of this USA is being held captive on a secret international moon base named Vegan and he was replaced on Earth by a clone, the US Marshall Service immediately sends their'best' person, Dix, on the assignment. Dix ends up coming to Earth where he installs the clone-president and removes the one and travels to rescue the president but is quickly duped. The bumbling Dix must find a solution restore within himself a belief in truth, justice and the American way, and to renew the actual president before the planet earth is taken over by aliens.
