Casshern - 2004

Fifty decades of war between the Great Eastern Federation and Europa - merged as Eurasia - took their toll. As a result of the use of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons, as much of Earth has become uninhabitable and individuals have become prey to diseases. Professor Azuma's"neo-cell" job, which is supposed to function as the answer to humanity's hardships, becomes a nightmare come true when mutants spawned from the experiment escape and also declare war on the human race. Azuma's son Tetsuya, who was murdered during the previous war, has been reborn in to the cyborg Casshern as mankind's last hope from the newest threat that was mutant.
