Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette is transplanted from the childhood home in France into the splendor of Paris after having a Parisian writer known as Willy. Willy convinces Colette to ghost write for him personally, soon after. She pens a novel about a witty and brazen country-girl named Claudine, igniting a bestseller and a sense that is cultural. After its own success, Colette and Willy become the talk of Paris and Claudine novels are inspired by their experiences.
