One year after losing his son David, Eve Goode along with her husband Raymond Goode espouse the orphan Ethan Snow (along with his teenaged sister Abby Snow and attract them into his own mansion near a lake. Abby confronts difficulties of adaptation within her home, and she faces Eve, who proves to be shaky and deranged.
