When Amanda McCready vanishes from her home and the police make headway in solving the situation, the aunt of the girl, Beatrice McCready hi res two private detectives, Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro. The detectives admit they have experience with such a case, but they are wanted by the family for 2 reasons - they're not cops and they know the difficult area in that they live. As the case progresses, Kenzie and Gennaro face gangs, drug dealers and pedophiles. They have been facing a dilemma that rips them apart, when they're about to solve the instance.
