Roman teenager Atti is made to combine the Roman army when one of the smart schemes falls foul of Emperor Nero. He's delivered to"miserable, cold, wet Britain" where"that the natives are revolting - quite literally". Matters go from bad to worse if Atti is recorded by Orla, a feisty teenage Celt desperate to prove himself as a warrior. Atti uses his Roman knowhow to help Orla save her gran who's been kidnapped by a rival tribe, after avoiding a very sticky result in a bog.
