Horrors of Malformed Men - 1969

Hirosuke (Teruo Yoshida) a medical student with almost no recollection of his past, is trapped in an asylum, even though being perfectly sane. After escaping from the loony bin, also being framed for the murder of a star girl, he spots the photo of a man, Genzaburo Komoda, to. Hirosuke supposes the dead person's individuality, fooling everybody else, including the widow and mistress of Komoda, by pretending to have been resurrected. Hirosuke recalls memories which convince him to visit to a local island, home of Jogoro, the web-fingered daddy of Genzaburo. Whilst on the staircase Hirosuke not only finds Jogoro's plans to construct his'ideal community' (by transforming perfectly normal people into dreadful freaks), but also the horrible facts behind his identity.
