The film in the Godzilla franchise restores the first Godzilla film's serious tone. A developer has placed machines therefore he could build luxury condos to suck on dry a part of the sea near Tokyo. On a beach, a huge egg pops after a storm. The developer's plans go awry if Godzilla's rest is disrupted by him and the creature goes stomping through Tokyo. It's up to Mothra shield its egg and Japan from Godzilla. Perhaps one in the Godzilla series that is original.
