New rules enforced by the Lady Mayoress mean that height, weight, gender and intelligence desire no more be one factor for linking the Police Force. The floodgates open to input the Police Academy. Perhaps not everyone is there through choice, though. Social misfit Mahoney has been forced to sign up since the alternative to a prison sentence plus it doesn't take a long time until he falls foul of the boorish Lieutenant Harris. But before long, Mahoney realises he is enjoying being a police cadet and decides he would like to stay... while Harris decides he wants Mahoney out!
