Raining Stones - 1993

This Ken Loach film tells the story of a person devoted to his loved ones and his religion. Proud, though poor, Bob wants his little girl to own a beautiful (and high priced ) brand-new dress on the First Communion. His stubbornness and determination get him into trouble since he turns in his desperation to enhance the money that is needed, into increasingly more questionable measures. This flaw leads him to risk worth, his loved family and everything he loves, really even his immortal soul and salvation, in blind pursuit of that objective.
