While exploring the horrifying death of her boyfriend, Mai Takano (Miki Nakatani) discovers of a videotape haunted by the soul of a disturbing girl named Sadako, which kills anyone who watches it exactly one week later. When her boy friend's son, Yoichi, starts to develop the abilities that are identical since Sadako, Takano must find a way.
