Darryl Revok is the mind of the scanner movement for world domination, and may be really the most powerful of all the scanners. Scanners have psychic power, strong enough to restrain heads. They could inflict massive pain/damage on their sufferers. Doctor Paul Ruth converts him, and discovers a scanner that Revok hasn't - to destroy the movement.

this is a awesome movie, I love the head exploding! I first watched this movie when I was 5 when it first came on HBO. wow it's been 42 years ago, that makes me feel old!

When I wuz' a tike, when ever I had ah HEAD ACHE, muh parents forced ah FUNNEL down muh "TROAT", (after dey' CHAINED ME TA' AH CHAIR ), AN POURED ASPRIN DOWN INTO DA' FUNNEL, INTO MUH "TROAT", TO HELP-GIT-RID-O-MUH-HEAD ACHE. (I'M JOKING!!! MUH PARENTS NEVUH DID DAT'!)
