The Flight of the Phoenix - 1965

A freight aircraft crashes at a sandstorm in the Sahara. One of those passengers is a plane designer who comes up with the thought of ripping off the wing and utilizing it as the cornerstone of an alternative aircraft they will build to escape until their food and water run out.
