Nazi occupied Poland, during the World War II. A student that is brilliant, hans, has come to be an SS officer stationed at the Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camp. After he is commissioned with his own superior officer to create an efficient gas chamber, Hans, confronting the reality, begins to appreciate the magnitude of the dreadful actions .
