The Hollow - 2016

After a U.S. congressman's daughter death by a small town in Mississippi expires at a mystical triple homicide, a team of F.B.I. agents descends to investigate, the team's brilliant but jaded lead agent battling demons both present and past, as his exquisite, tough-as-nails partner attempts to hold him and the scenario together. They look for a fighting and corrupt sheriff's department, a dark and much-feared figure, that is apparently pulling all of the town's strings out of his mansion on the edge of town and a local prey with a strange connection to a range of those town's most prominent characters.
