with all the technology that could possibly happen in that time period, they didn't think of small thermal proof one man pods or even extra parachutes at least after going through the thermasphere? Rick and Morty could have built a better ship.

I understand the importance of an escape pod but if you use it is anybody going to even come get you therefore is a good idea
