At new york, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray, learns that she is descended from a lineup of Shadowhunters -- half-angel warriors that protect humanity from evil forces. Clary enters Downworld, an alternate kingdom filled with a plethora of other creatures, vampires, and demons and combines forces with a set of Shadowhunters after her mother vanishes. Clary and her partners must find and protect a historical cup which holds the key to the future of her mother.

I've seen this film at least five times and considerate to be one of my favorites. Although I've never read the books, I much prefer the direction of the film than the show, along with some of the casting decisions. I understand it was flawed but I'd argue it's enjoyable nonetheless....

Film that is based on the discovery of the powers of a girl, who have always been hidden in her. So going forward with various plot holes and not perfect acting the movie drags to the end becoming a classic nasty love movie mixed action for kids with few pretensions.

Truthfully speaking I didn't read the books, but i watch the series shadowhunters and i loved did so i decided to watch the movie and it was really disappointing. I don't know from where to begin and i didn't like the visual effects i think it was poorly made.

I have so many questions it's incredible. There are so many plot holes i don't know where to start. Storyline is great. Execution was horrible. They really could've done something with this but nope. They already have great actors playing yet it's still bad.

I'm not gonna compare this to the books or the tv show but this movie felt so rushed. It felt like a two hour movie were everything needed to be put in. It didn't give time for developing relationships and the cast was also not really talented.

But got lamer and lamer the longer I watched toward the end. Too much cliche. It is one of the movies I didn't see before for still got the feeling I watched the movies a dozen times before.Maybe watch twilight again instead.

While I didn't hate this interpretation of the books, it definitely didn't give me all the feels reading the books OR watching the CW series did.Not a ton of chemistry between leads but visuals were good.

Badly and forcibly glued and sewn to sit and watch, the bad choice of actors, especially Jace!People her are Alle the time with shocking faceLook like I'm watching muted movies with pianos sound! Hahaha.
