Fearful of a prophecy saying that a girl child will be born to produce her downfall, the evil Queen Bavmorda imprisons all women that are pregnant within Nockmaar's formidable strong hold. A child, Elora Danan, comes into the world in the Nockmaar dungeons and defined as the child by a birthmark on her arm. However, prior to the shameful sorceress arrives to claim the kid, her midwife that is reluctant convinces to flee with the baby. Willow, aspiring sorcerer and a tribe, is entrusted with bringing the royal infant from evil.

I was 7 and my sister was 6 when this came out and we love this movie...when I had my own kids and bought it on DVD my kids love this movie too...I can say this is an absolute classic in my household and we watch it now around the holidays to say the least

Worth watching? I saw the new series but can't get past the 1st 10 mins in this film... i feel like i have to watch this before the sequel series

at first glance in the beginning of the movie I thought the bush was part of the Daikini 's babys hair when it paned on to the baby and it's little raft , but no it was just some twigs b-hind the Daikini's head
