Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel,"300" is loosely based the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians. The conflict helped business, and has been supposed to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians.

facts I'll give this movie five thumbs up cuz these are real gangsters early history gladiators before modern times of Tommy guns and hand weapons and pistols

They just don't make men like that anymore. The real king was 65 when he died. Tough and honor meant everything to them. Never give up. There was no one tougher than a Spartan.

yes they don't make men like this anymore. the most some do today. I'd much rather have a man who can slay some beasts and fight in battle then know how to type a few words on a text message

the king was between 50 and 60 years old win he went to fight I thought that was an interesting fact I found out today thus y I'm here watching 300 for the 300th time
