49th Parallel - 1941

From the early days of World War II, a German U-boat is sunk in Canada's Hudson Bay. A small band of soldiers directed by officer Lieutenant Hirth tries to cross the border into the USA, that hasn't entered the war and can be neutral. On the way, the Allied soldiers encounter courageous guys such as Philip, Johnnie, a leader of a Hutterite farming community, Peter, a writer, a French-Canadian fur trapper and also an priest.
