The National Lampoon name became globally recognized after the massive achievement of Animal House--however until the glory days, it was a scrappy yet divinely subversive radio and magazine series that introduced the world to comedic geniuses such as Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, John Belushi, and Gilda Radner. The driving force behind National Lampoon has been Doug Kenney (Will Forte), and also his truly wild and mad narrative participates at A Futile and Stupid Gesture out of Harvard to Hollywood to Caddyshack and outside.
