Jane, a nightclub singer, answers a personal ad from a realestate agent with AIDS, Robin, seeking a travel partner that is cross-country after breaking up with her girl friend. On their journey out of New York City to Los Angeles, the 2 drop by Pittsburgh to get Robin's friend Holly, who's trying to escape an abusive relationship. With three distinct personalities, the women must overcome their differences to help you to another.
