Robespierre and danton were buddies and struggled together in the French Revolution, but by 1793 Robespierre was France's ruler, determined to eliminate opposition with a series of executions that are mass that became famous as the Reign of Terror. Danton, well called a spokesman of these people, had been living in solitude from the countryside, but he also returned to Paris to battle Robespierre rule and call for the people to demand their faith.
