Ten years ago, aliens arrive on Earth. Not to conquer or provide aid, yet to find refuge from their dying planet. Separated from humans at a southafrican area named District 9, the aliens have been handled by Multi-National United, which is unconcerned with the aliens' welfare but can do such a thing to understand their own technology.
