Emily Walters can be a American widow living a peaceful, uneventful presence in the Hampstead Village of London, when she meets Donald Horner, recluse. In a hut near the edge of this woods, Donald has dwelt -- exceptionally yet peacefully -- for 17 years. When Emily finds his home may be the goal of programmers that will stop at nothing to remove himsaving Donald and his real estate becomes her individual mission. Despite his gruff exterior and considerate refusals for help, Emily is drawn to him--because he's to her--and what begins as a cause evolves into a relationship that will grow even as the bulldozers close in.

some of the happiest times I remember was living in a two-room cabin in the woods in Washington no indoor plumbing we did have running water that Dad had piped in from a stream. the man has no bills no electricity, water, garbage, or phone bills. where he's at is a paradise.

I love this movie it was really good and Diane Keaton is so great and I love the ending it was like he stayed the same but changed too
