Heaven Can Wait - 1978

Joe Pendleton is a quarterback preparing to lead his team when he is killed in a accident. An overanxious angel plucks him to paradise only to detect he was not prepared to expire, and his body has been cremated. A new body has to be found, and also that of a murdered millionaire is preferred. His accountant and wife, the murderers, are confounded by this development, since he buys the L.A. Rams in sequence to again quarterback them to the super bowl.
