A criminal, kathiresan aka Kaththi, escapes from the Kolkata prison and comes to Chennai, where he comes along with his doppelganger Jeevanandham, fighting for his life after being shot by unknown persons. Kathir makes the decision to pass off as Jeeva and make a way with a lumpsum amount but he realizes who Jeeva is, Kathir turns a crusader.
