NYC-based copy-editor Alex, is delivered to ridge-line Resort to compose a narrative for a travel writing competition. In the beginning, she fails much to the chagrin of Cole, an extreme sports enthusiast that thinks this city-girl should head back into ny. However, when Alex offers to help Cole together with his arts festival, then as she confronts her anxieties doing one sport after the 32, he also reluctantly obliges to function as guide.
