Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - 1983

In 1942, British soldier Jack Celliers involves a prison camp that is japanese. The camp is run by Yonoi, who has a firm belief in glory, honour and field. In his perspective, the prisoners are cowards if they decided to concede instead of commiting suicide. One interpreter John Lawrence, of the prisoners, strives to explain the japanese way of believing, but is recognized as a traitor.
