Students take notes lying on parlor couches and are encouraged to research their gifts through electives such as breakdancing and graphic-novel writing. Until she embarks on a photography independent study under the tutelage of the English teacher, Ben in the middle of all of this liberal pedagogy and budding gift, Molly Maxwell feels unexceptional. Their relationship evolves introducing Molly into the throes of a love, and putting the role in peril of Ben.
