My One Christmas Wish - 2015

Jackie Turner can be really actually a straight-A college student, that starved as a kid, abandoned and was abused. The holidays continue to be quite painful on her, although she has resolutely turned her entire life around. Facing yet another holiday break Jackie takes an ad on Craigslist for My ONE xmas Wish - a family for Christmas - and even offers to pay $8 an hour or so. For her surprise, responses flood in. One of the many heart-felt invitations and letters of service, she hears from several other young adults struggling with the exact overwhelming emptiness that includes spending the holidays without nearest and dearest. Moved and motivated, Jackie decides to throw a big Christmas party - with the last minute help of friends, her advisor and encourage group - to locate families for all those people that emailed her, and finds herself one as well.
