Substance-addicted Hollywood actress Suzanne Vale is on the skids. After a spell in a detoxification center her picture provider waits as a condition of continued to employ her that she live Doris Mann, herself once per star now a winner drinker. This type of set-up is bad news for Suzanne who has struggled for years to escape the shadow of her mother, and who discovers her mother treats her as a child.
