Prick Up Your Ears - 1987

This drama focusing on controversial British playwright Joe Orton is directed by stephen Frears, revealed in flashback by fan Kenneth Halliwell. Born in the English Midlands, John'Joe' Orton enjoys an openly homosexual relationship with Halliwell inside their Islington flat in the 1960s, and moves in 1951 to London, to research at RADA. However, when Orton achieves success with such plays 'What the Butler Saw' and'Loot','' Halliwell begins to feel rested as well as the future of the pair looks increasingly uncertain.
