Riding the Bullet - 2004

Set in 1969, Alan Parker (Jackson) is a new performer, studying at the University of Maine. He's obsessed with death, also believing he could be losing his girlfriend, Jessica (Christensen), he attempts to commit suicide on his birthday but his friends figure out how to avoid him, and he recovers. He receives news that his mother decides to hitch hike to go to with her at the hospital , and has ever had a stroke.
