Royal Shakespeare Company: Cymbeline - 2016

There is a crisis in Britain. Dystopian Britain is ruled by an ineffective Queen Cymbeline. Due to Cymbeline's emotional state following the deaths of both of her children, her judgment is skewed. When Innogen, the only living heir, marries her sweetheart Posthumus behind Cymbeline's back, he sends him away. Behind the throne, a power-hungry figure plans to take over by killing them both. While Innogen's husband is in exile, he is tricked into thinking she has been unfaithful to him. In a fit of jealousy, he plans to have her killed. After being warned of the danger, Innogen runs away from court in a disguise and starts a dangerous journey that will eventually reunite Cymbeline with a long-lost heir and bring the young lovers back together.
