Shakespeare in Love - 1998

Young Shakespeare has been made to stage his most recent comedy,"Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate's Daughter," before it's also written. Every time a lovely noblewoman auditions for a job, they fall into forbidden love -- and also his play finds a brand new life (and title). As their relationship grows, Shakespeare's comedy transforms into tragedy.
