Sophie's Choice - 1982

Stingo, a new writer, moves to begin work. He discovers that she is just a Holocaust survivor as he becomes friendly with her lover Nathan and Sophie. Flashbacks show her merry story, from wealth to Auschwitz. From today's Nathan's relationship and Sophie unravels as Stingo climbs closer to Sophie and Nathan's fragile mental state becomes ever more apparent.
