Souvenir - 2019

Interviews with the widows of seamen form the basis for a loose narration between the sticks of imitation luxury, remote love and colonial artifacts. Shot on 36-hour ferry cruises between Hull and Rotterdam, and Kiel and Oslo the picture as a souvenir itself draws a connection between the boat as the nautic space of the cinema and also the most significant arsenal of imagination.
