The Big Clock - 1948

Stroud, a crime magazine's crusading editor has to postpone a vacation with his wife, once there is a glamorous blonde murdered and he's delegated by his own publishing manager Janoth to find the killer. As the investigation proceeds to the end, Stroud must try to interrupt his generally brilliant investigative team while they increasingly build signs (albeit wrong) he could be the killer.
