The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler - 2009

Irena Sendler can be just a Catholic social worker who has sympathized with the Jews since her childhood, when her physician dad died of typhus contracted while treating patients that are Jewish. Her idea is met with skepticism by fellow-workers, her parish priest, and also her mother Janina when she initially proposes rescue Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto.
