The Girl - 2012
Director Alfred Hitchcock is revered as one of the best creative minds from the history of theatre. Known for his thrillers, Hitchcock's leading ladies were cool, beautiful and rather blond. One such actress was Tippi Hedren, an unknown fashion model given her big break when she was seen by Hitchcock's wife on a TV commercial. Delivered to Universal Studios, Hedren was shocked when the manager, at the peak of the livelihood cast her into star in his second feature, 1963's The Birds. Little did Hedren understand that terrifying and ambitious because the production is to shoot, the film's part wound up originating from behind the camera.
