In seclusion, inventor David Kressen has lived for 10 decades with his creations, a robot having an incredible life like qualities, including Adam. She is alternately repelled and attracted to the scientist and his invention, After reporter Joy Andrews has given access to their centre. But since Adam exhibits behavior of anger and jealousy towards her, she finds herself entangled in a web of deception at which no individual's motives may be decipherable.
