Falling Skies opens at the aftermath of an attack that has left the majority of the entire planet. Outside major cities, the survivors have banded together At the six months since the invasion to start the task of fighting back. Each day is an evaluation of survival since taxpayer soldiers work to look after the people in their attention while at the same time engaging in an insurgency campaign against the force that is alien.
