My Life as a Teenage Robot - 2003

My Life as a Teenage Robot is a Nickelodeon animated science fantasy television series produced by Rob Renzetti. It was Nickelodeon's first animated science fiction fairy tale. The series chronicles the exploits of XJ-9, also known as Jenny Wakeman, a robot girl created to safeguard Earth who is excessively addicted to teen-related activities and is frequently interrupted by Nora Wakeman, her creator and mother. On August 1, 2003, Nickelodeon aired the first episode. Following the cancellation of the series, later episodes began appearing on Nicktoons Network as "never before seen episodes." Nelvana Limited, a Canadian animation studio, distributes the series outside of the United States. The first season is available for purchase on iTunes. All three seasons are available on DVD from Amazon, although it's unclear whether Shout! Factory will sell them elsewhere.
