New Amsterdam is a American tv drama which aired on Fox for eight episodes from 2008. The series starred Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as"John Amsterdam", an immortal Dutch man born in 1607, who has lived at New York City on and off as he was 14 years of age, and who is really a homicide detective from the present moment. The show was nominated for an Emmy for Main Title Design.
