Packed to the Rafters - 2008

Packed to the Rafters is an Australian family-oriented tv series which originated on the Seven Network on Tuesday 26 August 2008 at 8:30 pm. The show has lasted Tuesdays in this timeslot for its entire run. The play series features a variety of light hearted humor stitched through the plot. It revolves round the Rafter family confronting life issues and work stresses, whilst handling acute societal issues. The Logie award winning chain was the maximum evaluation and the show has consistently been among the top 5 shows of the season.It was announced in television Week that the sixth season of Packed to the Rafters are the past, with Hugh Sheridan saying:"It's emotional letting go of Rafters -- for us. It was an amazing chapter in Aussie TV. I'm very proud we all came together to send it off." Rafters' two-hour series finale aired on 2 which saw the return of Jessica Marais, Hugh Sheridan, Ryan Corr, Jessica McNamee and James Stewart. Rebecca Gibney said,"The cast, designers and manufacturers have always said we wanted to maintain Rafters as one of the most-watched shows on television. We all had to get rid of it on a high When we ever felt as though we were losing too many cast members. We can say season six winds up an aspect of the Rafter family and there's a sense of finality to it."
