The show revolves around the creation of a new Broadway musical and a literary New York theater community. It features a large ensemble cast, directed Christian Borle, Jack Davenport, Katharine McPhee, by Debra Messing, Megan Hilty, Jeremy Jordan, and Anjelica Huston.The series debuted on February 6, 2012, and also its first season ended on May 14, 2012. Its next and last season premiered on February 5, 2013 and stopped May 26, 2013. NBC transferred the series into Saturdays starting April 6, 2013 and announced a change in March 2013 in their line up. The show had been cancelled on May 10, 2013. Last and second year senior producer/show runner Josh Safran explained like a series finale, if the show never be renewed the final episode of year could behave.Especially the pilot episode, the series, enjoyed some success that was crucial. The first season received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography.
