The former star of a winner cop show whose epic breakdown is broadcast to people and sends her, sam Swift. Desperate to restart her careershe speaks her way to shadowing investigator Eddie Valetik as research for a potential comeback role. High spirited Sam uses the skills she's learned as a performer playing a cop and demonstrates herself to be valuable, though Eddie resents the babysitting gig.
