From the calendar year 2149the planet is perishing. The entire world is over developed and over crowded, with nearly all plant and animal life extinct. The near future of humankind is in peril, and its sole hope for success is now in the past. A normal family continues an extraordinary journey back to ancient Earth as part of a large expedition in time to rescue the people.
