The Hunger is a British/Canadian television horror anthology Show, co-produced by Telescene Film Group Productions, Scott Free Productions and the Canadian pay-TV Station The Movie Network. The Hunger the series has no direct storyline or character relation into the film, though it shares a title with the feature film, and has been made by Jeff Fazio.Originally shown in the UK on the Scifi Channel at the Usa, the series was broadcast from 1997 to 2000, and is organized into 2 seasons. Each incident was based round an independent story introduced with the host. Terence Stamp hosted each incident for the first season, and has been replaced at the second season by David Bowie. Stories tended to focus on themes of desire and obsession, with a component of softcore erotica. Tropes for the stories included vampires, cannibalism, sex, and also poison.
